Brick Couch

Brick couch is a clever and amusing illusion of a soft and inviting couch. The Couch is a warm and inviting addition to the street and a clear invitation to linger and enjoy all that 4th Street has to offer. Brick Couch contains over 1100 hand-fired bricks and adds to the architectural and historical use of brick on 4th Street.  By Brian McArthur & Dawn Detarando 2004.


About the Artists
Brian and Dawn are co-owners of Voyager Art & Tile in Red Deer, a company specializing in tile, mosaic and public art. They both have their masters in ceramics from Ohio State University and have received many awards and public art commissions.
