Looking to explore new flavours? Look no further than the YYC Food & Drink Expo! Over the past few years, Calgary’s food and beverage scene has exploded. Home to over ten of Canada’s Top 100 Restaurants, foodies flock to #YYC to enjoy hand-crafted cocktails and unique dining experiences from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

The YYC Food & Drink Expo offers multi-course prix fixe value-priced menus with optional British Columbia wine pairings from over 50 of Calgary’s best restaurants. Of course, 4th Street had to bring the heat with the following participating restaurants:

Añejo

Situated in the stunning and historic Rose Building, Añejo has quickly become a go-to Mexican restaurant for many Calgarians. Handcrafted recipes cooked in the traditional Mexican way make for bold and boisterous flavours everyone loves.

Añejo is offering a $20 lunch featuring three courses (we’re drooling over the tres leches already!) If you’re seeking a dinner option, you can enjoy their $30 three course option from 3pm – close.

One thing is certain – you can never be bored by a meal at Anju!

Anju is offering a $30 lunch featuring three courses including a unique wagyu hot dog. If dinner is more your speed, explore the $40 prix fixe three course offering or up the ante to the $65 five course gourmet option featuring drool-worthy truffle leek dumplings.

Head chef Darren Maclean was featured on the Netflix competition cooking show, Chef’s Table. We won’t spoil the series if you haven’t seen it, but suffice it to say this Calgary chef is making big waves in the restaurant business. Shokunin offers up exceptional food and cocktails in an approachable and inclusive setting. A focus on sustainable, fresh ingredients makes the unique flavour profiles of these traditionally Japanese dishes stand out.

Shokunin is offering a gourmet prix fixe dinner for $65. Six courses of inspired Japanese flavours are sure to impress your date, your colleague, or your family!
